Our task
We transform concrete without compromising on quality by using flat glass and color refinement to create an aesthetically pleasing SB4 finish, resulting in a harmonious and visually appealing overall appearance. We rely on precise techniques and high-quality materials to treat surfaces evenly and give them a high-quality aesthetic. By carefully applying the glass coating and adjusting the color tones, we are able to transform even simple concrete structures into high-quality, aesthetically pleasing surfaces that meet the requirements of the SB4 exposed concrete class.
Challenge
The challenge is to create a uniform appearance for the concrete on-site with a high-quality finish, including connections to ceiling beams, anchor sleeves, anchor points, and concrete pour joints, while preserving the natural texture and characteristics of the concrete without excessively covering the exposed original concrete.
Mannheim Technology Park
The entrance, staircase, and connecting areas invite visitors into the buildings through an aesthetically pleasing exposed concrete design. The team at TPMA creates an environment that makes it easier and faster to bring ideas to life and introduce new products to the market. This concept is a hub for medical technology-oriented companies in the region. The buildings offer room layouts tailored to individual standards, as well as laboratory and workshop configurations featuring process cooling, special gases, refrigeration, and emergency power supplies.
