Challenge

The challenge in this project was to improve the uneven, exposed concrete surfaces resulting from formwork imprints and variations in the mix design. Colour variations and unevenness affected the overall appearance. Through careful finishing of the concrete, these imperfections were eliminated, resulting in a smooth and uniform surface. To protect the exposed concrete from long-term environmental effects whilst preserving its aesthetic appeal, a special glass coating was applied, which skilfully accentuated the concrete’s texture and created a subtle deepening of colour.
